Franck Boistel Shoes Design
The logo represents the tail of the red fox of AmericaThe Brand FRANCK BOISTEL is a reunion between the style and "class" of European fashion and the tribal cultures of the Native Americas.

"There is a true genius in the Americas to build functional yet stylish footwear that is unknown by the general public."

Franck spent time between the Indian reservations of the southwest of the United States and the cities of Europe and reflect on creating a brand that could combine his two loves; fashion designed in Europe and the raw beauty of the original people of the Americas.
My logo represents the tail of a red fox of America. The red fox was introduced to the Americas by the English to satisfy their needs for the traditional foxhunt. That specie did not exist on this continent before they introduced it. I liked this symbol because it is echoing my own experience and expatriation. I share the same "voyage".

...For the Indians of central California, The red fox is a hero creator and more widely among Native Americans, He is associated with healing and shape shifting. For the Celtic people of Europe, he was the guide of the souls.

In Japan, the red fox symbolizes fertility and he is the friend of The goddess Inari "divinity of abundance..." this idea came from what the plain Indian where using to mask their tracks when at war or dancing.
The Native American Indians from the northern plains were attaching the tail of a fox or coyote or wolf to the back of their feet so that when they walk, the fur was erasing their tracks behind them. Later on, what was first a functional attire became fashionable and was widely applied throughout all the tribes of the central plains of northern America.

The foxtail is also a tribute to Franck's mother's and grand-mothers' sense of style when they were wearing furs around their neck to keep them warm during tough France winters.
